Introduction and Priority of Terms

These Terms and Conditions apply to all Services provided by Rapid Focus Medical Education Limited. Please read these terms carefully before purchasing any Online Course or Taught Course, and retain a copy for your records.

By clicking “Pay Now” (or completing an order via our Website), you enter into a legally binding agreement to abide by these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not purchase any Services from us.

If there is any conflict between these documents, the following order of priority shall apply:

1. Definitions

  • “Confidential Information” means any written, graphic, recorded, or machine-readable information disclosed by one party to the other concerning business operations, delegates, suppliers, finances, or course materials. It excludes information in the public domain, information required to be disclosed by law, or information already lawfully possessed.

  • “Course Materials” / “Course Pack” means any information, documents, or content provided by Rapid Focus Medical Education in hard copy or electronic format to accompany a course.

  • “Fees” means the total fees paid by you for the Services.

  • “Intellectual Property Rights” includes copyrights, database rights, patents, design rights, trademarks, and trade secrets (registered or unregistered) worldwide.

  • “Online Course” means a course delivered remotely by us via digital channels.

  • “Taught Course” means an in-person, classroom-based course hosted by us.

  • “Services” means the provision of Online Courses, Taught Courses, and/or Course Materials purchased via our Website or telephone.

  • “Website” means www.rapidfocusmedical.com (or our official web domain).

  • “You” / “Delegate” means the individual purchasing or attending the Services.

2. The Services

  • 2.1 Delivery Standard: Course descriptions and start dates are specified on our Website. Rapid Focus Medical Education will provide all Services with reasonable care and skill in accordance with the stated course descriptions.

  • 2.2 Service Modifications: We reserve the right to vary, update, or withdraw any Services listed on the Website without prior notice.

  • 2.3 Suitability & Outcomes: You are responsible for ensuring that the selected Service meets your specific educational or professional needs. Rapid Focus Medical Education does not guarantee that completion of a course will result in passing any specific exam, achieving a professional qualification, or securing employment.

3. Ordering and Contract Formation

  • 3.1 Payment in Advance: All online or taught courses must be paid for in full at the time of booking.

  • 3.2 Order Submission: Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase Services. Rapid Focus Medical Education reserves the right to decline or cancel any order prior to formal confirmation.

  • 3.3 Contract Formation: A legally binding contract is established only when we:

    1. Send you a formal purchase confirmation email; and

    2. Receive full payment of the relevant Fees.

  • 3.4 Multiple Bookings: If your order contains multiple online or taught courses, each course is treated as an independent offer and contract. Acceptance of one course does not automatically constitute acceptance of others in the same order.

  • 3.5 Examination Bookings: Rapid Focus Medical Education is strictly an independent education provider and is not responsible for registering or booking examination attempts with external professional bodies or royal colleges. You are solely responsible for booking your own examinations before any applicable deadlines.

4. Cancellation, Refunds, and Variations

  • 4.1 Online Course Cancellation: Once you have accessed, logged into, or commenced using any part of an Online Course, your right to cancel is immediately waived and no refund will be issued.

  • 4.2 Cancellation Notice Requirements: All requests for course cancellations or date changes must be submitted in writing to info@rapidfocusmedical.com.

  • 4.3 Refund Schedule for Taught Courses:

    • More than 6 weeks’ notice prior to course start date: Eligible for a refund, subject to a 20% administrative deduction from the total fee paid.

    • Less than 6 weeks’ notice prior to course start date: Strictly no refunds will be issued.

  • 4.4 Variations at Discretion: Any requests to transfer course dates or alter bookings outside these criteria are granted entirely at the discretion of Rapid Focus Medical Education.

5. Fees and Expenses

  • 5.1 Pricing: Applicable Fees are displayed on our Website at the time of purchase.

  • 5.2 Taxes: Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Fees are exclusive of VAT or local taxes, which will be detailed prior to checkout.

  • 5.3 External Registration Fees: Fees paid to Rapid Focus Medical Education do not cover external professional body registration or examination entry fees. These must be paid directly to the relevant awarding body.

  • 5.4 Payment Processing: Payments are debited at the time of purchase. Access to Online Courses or attendance at Taught Courses will not be granted until full payment is cleared.

  • 5.5 Card and Attendance Costs: Any card transaction fees, bank charges, travel, accommodation, or personal expenses incurred in connection with attending a course are your sole responsibility.

6. Intellectual Property

  • 6.1 Ownership: All Intellectual Property Rights in Course Materials, Online Courses, and lectures delivered during Taught Courses remain the exclusive property of Rapid Focus Medical Education or its licensors.

  • 6.2 Prohibited Actions: You are strictly prohibited from:

    1. Copying, modifying, reproducing, republishing, selling, uploading, or distributing any Course Materials without prior written consent.

    2. Recording (audio or video), broadcasting, or retransmitting any Online or Taught Course sessions.

    3. Utilizing our Course Materials to deliver training or education to third parties.

    4. Removing copyright or proprietary notices from any Course Materials.

    5. Reverse engineering, decompiling, or modifying any software associated with our digital platforms.

  • 6.3 Personal License: In consideration of the Fees paid, Rapid Focus Medical Education grants you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Course Materials solely for your personal educational use.

7. Code of Conduct and Termination

Rapid Focus Medical Education reserves the right to immediately terminate your contract, revoke access to Online Courses, or remove you from a Taught Course without a refund if you:

  1. Fail to pay required Fees when due.

  2. Engage in aggressive, bullying, discriminatory, offensive, or harassing behavior toward our staff, instructors, or fellow delegates.

  3. Commit acts of plagiarism, cheating, or academic dishonesty.

  4. Engage in theft, fraud, or intentional damage to property owned by us, our venue partners, or other delegates.

  5. Attend a course while intoxicated or under the influence of illicit substances.

  6. Commit a criminal offense on our premises or against our staff/delegates.

  7. Materially breach any provision of these Terms and Conditions.

8. Dietary Requirements (Taught Courses)

  • 8.1 Catering Vendors: Food and refreshments provided during Taught Courses are catered by third-party suppliers.

  • 8.2 Delegate Responsibility: You must specify any dietary requirements, food allergies, or intolerances accurately on your registration form prior to the course. Rapid Focus Medical Education accepts no liability for dietary issues or allergic reactions resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by you.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • 9.1 Professional Advice Disclaimer: Course content provided by Rapid Focus Medical Education is for educational purposes only and does not constitute formal medical or financial/investment advice.

  • 9.2 Accuracy & Consequential Loss: While we endeavor to provide high-quality training, Rapid Focus Medical Education and its instructors shall not be liable for:

    1. Inaccuracies or reliance placed upon information contained within courses or materials.

    2. Loss or corruption of data.

    3. Loss of earnings, profit, career progression, or goodwill.

    4. Any indirect, special, or consequential loss arising under this agreement.

  • 9.3 Liability Cap: Subject to clause 9.4, our maximum aggregate financial liability arising out of or in connection with these terms—whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise—shall be limited strictly to the total Fees paid by you for the specific course in dispute.

  • 9.4 Unrestricted Liability: Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other matter that cannot be excluded under English law.

  • 9.5 Force Majeure: Rapid Focus Medical Education shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: severe weather, natural disasters, acts of God, outbreak of infectious disease/pandemics, strikes or industrial action, terrorism, civil disturbance, national emergencies, power failure, or third-party supplier defaults.

10. Data Protection and Privacy

  • 10.1 Data Usage: By purchasing our Services, you agree that we may collect and store personal data (such as contact details and demographic information) to deliver courses, communicate administrative updates, and fulfill legal requirements.

  • 10.2 External Sharing: We do not pass your personal details to third parties for marketing purposes. Data may be supplemented with information from official exam bodies or employers where necessary to verify eligibility.

  • 10.3 Site Telemetry: Aggregated user data (IP addresses, browser types, session activity) may be analyzed to monitor and improve platform security and functionality.

11. General Legal Provisions

  • 11.1 Assignment: Rights and access granted under these terms are personal to you and cannot be transferred, resold, or assigned to another individual. Rapid Focus Medical Education reserves the right to assign or subcontract its rights and obligations under this agreement to a third party.

  • 11.2 Entire Agreement: These Terms, alongside Website Disclaimers and Course-Specific Terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and Rapid Focus Medical Education, superseding any prior verbal or written arrangements.

  • 11.3 Severability: If any provision of these terms is deemed unlawful, void, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that specific provision shall be severed, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement, its subject matter, and any non-contractual disputes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
